As seen globally, today's consumers demand faster delivery and a broader product assortment. According to Diego Sebastián de Enrice, Dia’s E-Commerce Director, this trend has prompted the company to invest in dark stores, with plans to launch 14 new locations in the near future. Dia is also actively seeking logistics partners to enhance delivery speed working with Glovo, Just Eat, and Uber Eats.

The company claims to serve 35 million Spanish residents, or 84% of the national population, including 4 million people living in low-density areas.

Dia’s management anticipates continued growth in online sales, albeit at a slower pace. This expected slowdown is shifting management’s focus toward improving the customer journey- simplifying the purchasing process, ensuring faster deliveries, and introducing referral programs to enhance engagement and retention.
